Barnes and Goldberg Earn Little East Conference Weekly Honors

GORHAM, Maine – University of Southern Maine junior Zoe Barnes (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) and freshman Kiana Goldberg (Sabattus, Maine/Lisbon) have each earned weekly awards from the Little East Conference. Barnes was named the LEC Field Athlete of the Week after winning the shot put and discus at Saturday’s SNHU Spring Invite and Goldberg was named the LEC Track Rookie of the Week following an impressive start to her outdoor career. Barnes had a mark of 12.70m to win the shot put and her distance is the ninth-best in program history. Her distance mark of 42.45m is ranked 12th nationally.…
