Collins’ WOU record-tying K performance leads her to being named GNAC Pitcher of the Week

PORTLAND, Ore. — Behind a school record-tying performance, Western Oregon’s Mackenzee Collins was named the GNAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday. The senior tied a 26-year-old school record with 16 strikeouts Saturday against Simon Fraser in a nine-inning 5-2 Wolves win. Collins went all nine innings and didn’t give up an earned run on five hits with two walks.
