Kolodziej & Paredes Earn NJAC Honors

NEWARK, NJ | Aleks Kolodziej and Fernando Paredes were named NJAC Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week. Rutgers-Newark went 2-1 on the week where they picked up their 4th consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship with a 3-1 win over Kean. Kolodziej tallied 34 kills in the three matches with 13 coming in the win over Kean with a .296 hit percentage. Defensively, Kolodziej added 24 digs and eight blocks.
