Melissa outscores Greenville Lions, 8-2 in district baseball
Greenville’s Lions are still looking for their first District 13-5A win in baseball after falling 8-2 at home to Melissa. The Lions, now 0-6 in district play, are still having trouble scoring runs. They’ve only scored three runs in their six district games. “We scored a couple of runs,” said Lions coach Jeromy Slagle. “That’s promising.” Jett Fifield, the Lions’ leadoff batter, went 2-for-4 at the plate and scored a run.
