MARICOPA, Ariz. – University of Hawai'i senior Blaze Akana carded a 6-under 66 in the first round of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, Monday at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. Akana was 1-over through his first 13 holes of Round 2 before play was suspended due to lightning. His 66 matched his career low round which he set twice previously, including last month at the Lamkin Invitational. His round included seven birdies and one bogey.
