Byrd Named GAC Field Athlete of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Jade Byrd was named the Great American Conference Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon after an impressive outing at Emporia State last Thursday. It is the fourth time Byrd has garnered the league's weekly honor in her career and the first time this season. The Stratford, Okla., native notched her second outdoor NCAA Division II provisional mark after placing fourth in the discus with a heave of 48.04m (157-7).
