Four Long Beach area high school basketball players receive John Wooden Award

LOS ANGELES — Four Long Beach Press-Telegram area high school basketball players have received the prestigious John R. Wooden Award as 2024 High School Players of the Year, per an announcement on Tuesday morning by the Los Angeles Athletic Club. 14 Southern California high school boys and girls basketball players will be awarded the 2024 John R. Wooden High School Player of the Year Award, including four local players from Long Beach Poly, Lynwood, Firebaugh and St. Anthony.
