Kellie Harper fired: 5 Tennessee WBB head coach candidates
Yolett McPhee-McCuin
McPhee-McCuin is one of the fastest rising coaches in women’s college basketball. She has a 103-84 career record with four NCAA Tournament appearances between stops at Jacksonville and Ole Miss and has led the Rebels to March Madness each of the past three years. McPhee-McCuin has taken Ole Miss from back-to-back under 10 win seasons to a WNIT runner-up finish in 2020-21 and a Sweet 16 appearance last season.
Given her success in the SEC at a lesser program than Tennessee, McPhee-McCuin knows how to recruit the region well and how to win in the conference. If the Lady Vols are looking to be competitive right away, McPhee-McCuin would give them that opportunity in the SEC while potentially pushing for national championships quickly.
