Boys basketball: Verona’s Drew Murphy makes WBCA’s All-State team

Verona junior Drew Murphy was selected to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association's Division 1 All-State team. Murphy was named as an honorable mention in Division 1. Twelve players were selected to the Division’s 1 first team – including Sun Prairie West junior Chris Davis Jr. – who led the state in scoring with 40.8 points per game. Murphy averaged 23 points per game and helped Verona finish 15-11, 12-6 in a third-place tie with Janesville Craig in the Big Eight.
