Laramie County Community College in Wyoming celebrated six athletes committing to four-year institutions, with representatives from women’s soccer, men’s soccer, and volleyball making their official announcements.

  • Kayt Ward is the second athlete from the women’s soccer team to move on to an NCAA Division I school, committing to play at Houston Christian University. She earned All-Region honors as a standout on the defensive side and was part of a national championship team.
  • Tayler Miller is heading to play for Southwest Minnesota State University at the NCAA Division II level, having been a member of the All-Region IX First Team as a sophomore.
  • Macey Woolcock will be moving on to play at the NAIA level for Oakland City University, leading the team in points and assists on the season from her position as a forward.
  • Azael Marrufo, finishing with 11 goals and four assists at LCCC, will be moving on to play for CSU-Pueblo in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
  • Gael Hernandez is joining a slew of Golden Eagles who have signed at UCCS in Colorado Springs to play for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
  • Nicole Shaver, a transfer into the volleyball program, will play for New Mexico Highlands University in the RMAC.
State of Play
  • Eleven total athletes from Laramie County Community College have committed to four-year schools, including six from the women’s soccer team, three from volleyball, and two from men’s soccer.
  • One more signing day is being planned for late April or early May, with several more expected to commit from volleyball and both basketball teams.
