More Black Hawks being asked to step up

One of the craziest conference title races in recent memory last season has the Grafton High School baseball team facing one of the tallest tasks. The Black Hawks, who tied for the North Shore Conference crown in 2023 with West Bend East, West Bend West and Whitefish Bay — they all finished 11-7 — lost nine seniors to graduation, including four of their five all-conference players. “It’s always tough to replace a big senior class. This year’s seniors have already proven that they’re ready to step up as leaders and jump right into those key roles,” coach Brian Durst said.
