Steven Hermsen Named CCIW Men’s Field Student-Athlete of the Week

The Collegiate Conference of Illinois & Wisonsin (CCIW) announced it’s weekly Track & Field awards on Wednesday, with Carroll’s Steven Hermsen being voted the conference’s Field Student-Athlete of the Week. A native of De Pere, Wis., Hermsen helped the Pioneers place third at the 13-team Warrior Invite last week, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran. He won the discus with a fourth-attempt distance of 54.55m (179-00), and followed that up with a victory in the hammer throw with a final-attempt distance of 54.98m (180-05).
