Trey Townsend transferring: 5 possible landing spots

Townsend may stay in the Midwest to finish out his collegiate career and while he’s likely to garner interest from a couple of the top programs in his home state, he could also seek an opportunity with another Big Ten team like Wisconsin. The Badgers haven’t dipped into the transfer portal often in recent years, but Greg Gard may look to make at least one key addition as he did last year with AJ Storr. Wisconsin is likely to lose Storr this offseason while one of its key cogs in the lineup, Tyler Wahl, will graduate. Townsend is undersized compared to Wahl, but he could ultimately fill his role as another post option alongside Steven Crowl and could provide a greater scoring impact. With a strong backcourt heading into next season, a frontcourt addition like Townsend could propel the Badgers toward the top of the Big Ten.
