Two Lion Throwers Earn CACC Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 3, 2024) - Two Georgian Court freshman throwers were named this week's CACC Field Rookies of the Week. Malicah Etienne and Chiamaka Wokocha each had great days at the Monmouth Spring Opener with multiple top-10 finishes. Etienne took fourth place in the discus and eighth in the shot. He set a huge personal-best in the discus where he threw 157-8 and moved to fifth all-time in Lions history. In the shot put, he recorded an outdoor personal-best throwing 47-4-5. Wokocha competed in three events, finishing in the top-10 in two and the top-15 in all three....
