POUGHKEEPSIE, New York-German Fuentes, who played one season at Marist as a graduate student, has made his international debut for El Salvador against Argentina. Fuentes currently plays for Athlone Town AFC in Ireland's First Division. Fuentes, who has 43 appearances and 42 starts in the Irish First Division, was subbed into the international friendly in the 77th minute. Although El Salvador lost 3-0 against the reigning World Cup champions, the centerback helped keep Argentina scoreless while he was in.
