Arancio Records 100th Career Point; Smith Races Past Salve Regina 16-8
NORTHAMPTON – The Smith College lacrosse team scored seven goals in the second quarter as it knocked off Salve Regina 16-8 in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest Friday evening. With an assist in the first quarter, senior attacker Gia Arancio (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) recorded her 100th career point. She joins teammate Sadie Tschider (Piedmont, CA/Piedmont) as active players who have surpassed the 100 career point mark. Smith moves to 5-7 on the year with a 2-3 mark in the NEWMAC.
