Buchanan, Pena Honored by Providence Gridiron Club

KINGSTON, R.I. - The Providence Gridiron Club honored two Rhode Island Football players as part of its College MVP Awards earlier this week in wide receiver Marquis Buchanan and linebacker A.J. Pena . This marked the first year that President Robert Izzi and the Providence Gridiron Club recognized two players instead of one. Buchanan received the Offensive MVP Award while Pena earned the Defensive MVP Award. A Providence native, Buchanan played all 11 games on both offense and special teams for the Rams in 2023.
