El Segundo boys basketball’s Shane Biscaya earns CIF-Southern Section player of the year honors

El Segundo senior Shane Biscaya was selected the CIF-Southern Section DIvision 5AA player of the year. Biscaya transferred from Redondo and helped lead the Eagles to a share of the Pioneer League title and an appearance in the Division 5AA finals. El Segundo lost Castaic 63-52 in the finals. Scott Martin, who led the Eagles in his first season as coach, was the Division 5AA coach of the year. El Segundo finished the season 23-11. Senior Elijah Coles also earned first team honors.
