Erin Capell Breaks 26-Year Old Shot Put School Record

Junior Erin Capell broke a 26-year old school record in the shot put Friday at the Colorado Invitational Track & Field Meet in Boulder, Colo. Capell finished fifth in the event with a toss of 39’0.5″, surpassing the previous school record of 38’6.75, set by Heather O’Brien in 1998, the year before O’Brien won the Division III hepathlon title.
