Khalif Battle enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots

There’ll be a lot of hype surrounding Rutgers entering next season as Steve Pikiell adds a strong recruiting class that includes two top-five players: Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper. Still, it’s likely the Scarlet Knights will add a piece or two from the transfer portal this offseason as well. Like he was coming out of high school, Battle could again be a target for Rutgers with the program losing Aundre Hyatt, Noah Fernandes and Austin Williams, who are all out of eligibility. The Scarlet Knights are also likely to lose Mawot Mag, Derek Simpson and Gavin Griffiths, who have all entered the transfer portal. Battle could help make up for some of the scoring that will be lost while also being a senior leader for what will be a young team. He would also reunite with former Temple teammate Jeremiah Williams back home in New Jersey.
