Men’s Tennis Pounces on Purchase

DANBURY, Conn. – The Western Connecticut State University men’s tennis team raced past visiting non-conference opponent Purchase College, 8-1, on Friday afternoon at Westside Courts. In doubles, the Wolves came out on fire capturing victories at the No. 2 (Harris/Mariduena) and No. 3 slots (Frisch/Peschier) by the scores of 8-1 each. At the No. 1 spot, WestConn fell behind, 3-4, and looked a little flat. But after a brief motivating coaching session, they rattled off five straight games to take the victory, 8-4.
