Norfolk State Men Win Three Events on NSU Invitational First Day

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State picked up three first place finishes on the first day of the 2024 NSU Invitational at William "Dick" Price Stadium in three different areas – distance, jumps, and throws. Raeshon Smith opened the afternoon with a personal-best toss of 155 feet, one inch to win the hammer throw. William Richardson earned second (154-8), while Troy McWilliams (142-2) took fifth. McWilliams also placed sixth in the discus throw (136-3). Brian Rotich cruised to a comfortable victory in the 5,000 meters in 15 minutes, 1.30 seconds.
