Riese Gaber signs with AHL’s Charlotte Checkers

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Senior forward and team captain Riese Gaber has signed a multi-year deal with the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Friday, as announced by the organization. Gaber will play the remainder of the 2023-24 season on an amateur tryout (ATO) before a two-year, one-way AHL deal begins next year. Gaber concluded his career at North Dakota as one of the program's best in recent memory, tallying 64 goals and 65 assists for 129 points in 142 career games.
