Sydney Stephens Shines, S&T Women Win Eight Events at Truman State Invitational

By: John Kean, Athletic Communications Director KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Sydney Stephens (Plattsburg, MO/Plattsburg) captured three events and Missouri S&T’s women’s track & field team won eight events overall as it placed second on Friday at the Truman State Invitational. The Miners had a one-two finish in the both the discus throw and shot put as Stephens won both events, posting marks of 130-11 in the discus and 41-1 in the shot, while Paige Lambright (Poplar Grove, IL/Belvidere North) was second at 125-feet in the discus and 38-7 in the shot put.
