USI falls short in battle of the conference unbeatens
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis (7-9) suffered their first conference loss this afternoon at Southeast Missouri State University (10-6), 6-1. Both teams were tied on top of the Ohio Valley Conference standings going into the match. Doubles USI went took one of the three doubles matches. Freshman Anais Negrail (Maisons-Alfort, France) and senior Rachel McCorkle (Tulsa, Oklahoma) earned the lone doubles victory for the Screaming Eagles, 6-3. Singles Negrail continued her impressive day with a victory in the singles four matchup winning 6-1, 6-7, 0-1.
