Young Sets Two Personal Records to Open NSU Invitational

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State junior Leslie Young got the Spartans' home meet off to a tremendous start, setting two personal records on Friday in a pair of victorious performances. Young opened the day with a win in the hammer throw, recording a personal best toss of 171 feet, 9 inches. She followed that up with another career mark (146-11) in the discus to take first place once again. Yvone Sandui won the 800 meters on Friday in 2:12.46, another personal record.
