It’s Fields’ day at UWG Legends meet

CARROLLTON, Ga. – Mississippi University for Women men's track and field standout Allen Fields came home with a pair of school records, as the squad competed at the University of West Georgia Legends Invitational. There were no team scores. Fields (Saltillo, Mississippi), a freshman, broke teammate Dedrick Gates' record in the 400-meter hurdles. Fields had a time of 1:02.71 minutes, besting Gates' previous time of 1:04.31. In the 110-meter high hurdles, Fields established the record by be9ng the first MUW athlete to ever attempt the race.
