Karpeal posts top-10 finish at Thiel Invite

HERMITAGE, Pa. (April 6) – The Waynesburg University men’s golf team placed 10th of 12 teams at the Thiel Invitational at Avalon at Buhl on Saturday. The Jackets finished with a team score of 353 strokes. Matthew Karpeal (Smithfield, Pa. / Albert Gallatin) tied for 10th in the 59-man field at 77 strokes. Gage Fuller (Elrama, Pa. / Ringgold) and Tyler Robinson (Scottdale, Pa. / Southmoreland) each carded a 90 to tie for 47th. Nathan Barnhart (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) rounded out the Jackets’ scoring unit in 53rd (96). Waynesburg heads to Grove City for the MBA Invitational on Thursday.
