POTSDAM, N.Y.— The second-ranked William Smith lacrosse team cruised to a 15-8 victory over Clarkson in a Liberty League contest on Hantz Field this afternoon, picking up its 11th straight win to start the year. With four goals this afternoon, senior midfielder Maddie Montgomery became the second Heron in program history to record 300 career points. Montgomery joins Amy Hoover ’95 in the exclusive club. Hoover, whose goal record Montgomery broke earlier this season, holds the William Smith career records for assists 175 and points 383. She scored 208 goals. Montgomery has 246 goals and 54 assists.
