USM Women’s Track & Field Success at Coast Guard Academy Invite | Barnes & Goldberg Set Records
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Junior Zoe Barnes (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) and freshman Kiana Goldberg (Sabattus, Maine/Lisbon) each won events for the University of Southern Maine women’s track & field team on Saturday at the Coast Guard Academy Invitational. Barnes took first place in the shot put and discus and Goldberg won the 100-meter hurdles. Barnes won the shot put with a distance of 12.98m, the third-best mark in program history behind her own marks of 13.11m and 13.02m. Her discus mark was 41.68m.
