Liberty North wrestler Motie Williams wins Missouri Class 4 state tournament
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Liberty North junior Motie Williams, won his second individual state title at the Class 4 state wrestling tournament at 285 pounds. Williams was the first-ever Eagles wrestler to claim a state title for the Eagles. Williams was named the Wrestler of the Year for the Greater Kansas City Suburban Gold Conference, where he was also First-Team All-Conference.
Williams notched his 100th career win in January at the George Hoover Wrestling Invitational. He has also been a back-to-back winner of the prestigious Winnetonka wrestling tournament. It has been an exciting year for Williams; he also earned First-Team All-State honors as an offensive lineman for the Class 6 State champion Eagles football team.
