By: Sebastian Bush, Assistant AD/Communications Kings Point, NY – The City College of New York men’s track and field team competed on Sunday at the 2024 Coach Omeltchenko Invitational, hosted by the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Freshman Toufique Mahmud finished ninth overall in the 400-meter dash, running a personal-best time of 53.32. Mahmud also ran a time of 24.56 in the 200m dash, placing 13th. In the 3000-meter Steeplechase, freshman Gian-Carlo Riehl placed sixth overall in a time of 11:51.35, while junior Christian Rasmussen finished 10th in a time of 13:03.53.
