GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Montana State closed out the first round of their 54-hole Bobcat Desert Classic on Monday, shooting 10-over par through the first stage of competition. Scarlet Weidig led the Cats with a 1-over par 73, while Eva Heinz, Lauren Greeny, and Hannah Boraas all posted rounds of 3-over par 75. Competing as an individual, freshman Belle Brezovski shot a collegiate-best 75. The Bobcats sit 14th through 18 holes, with Grand Canyon leading the field at 7-under par, Seattle U in second at 5-under par and Utah Tech in third at 4-under par.
