Pair of Kats earn weekly softball honors

DALLAS — Fresh off the team's first Conference USA series victory, Sam Houston garnered two weekly softball honors, league officials announced on Monday. Pitcher Amy Abke was named Freshman of the Week and Elia Hebel was selected as Player of the Week. The two play integral roles in the Bearkats' three-game series sweep of Middle Tennessee at the Bearkat Softball Complex.
