Capell Named SCAC Field Athlete of the Week

Colorado College junior Erin Capell has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 1 through Sunday, April 7. Capell broke a 26-year old record in the shot put last Friday at the CU Invitational. She finished fifth in the event with a toss of 39’0.5″, surpassing the previous school record of 38’6.75″, set by Heather O’Brien in 1998, the year before O’Brien won the Division III heptathlon title.
