Lopez named SWAC co-Hitter of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Jackson State junior shortstop Julie Lopez was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Hitter of the Week, announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Lopez hit .600 in a pair of games against Bethune-Cookman including going 2-for-2 with an RBI and drawing a walk. She also picked up an RBI in one of the two games on Sunday for the Tigers in helping with the conference sweep of the Wildcats. For the year, Lopez is hitting .326 with 21 RBI.
