Men’s Lacrosse Stifled by Plymouth State
CASTLETON, Vt. – The Vermont State University Castleton men’s lacrosse team was defeated 17-3 in Little East Conference action by Plymouth State on Tuesday evening at Dave Wolk Stadium. The Spartans (2-10, 1-3 LEC) were outshot 47-15 on goal, but the team’s 30 saves in the contest were the most in at least 20 seasons. Chase Stychaluk stopped 21 shots in 37 minutes while Finn Maniaci made seven over 15 minutes. Zac Smith stopped a pair of shots in just eight minutes of action. The Panthers (8-4, 3-1 LEC) won 18-of-23 face-offs and had a 48-14 edge in ground balls.…
