Nowak Matches Career Singles Wins Record as Women’s Tennis Topples Wilkes, 8-1

SCRANTON, Pa. – Graduate student Lily Nowak (Freeland, Pa./Hazleton Area) matched the program’s career singles wins record and The University of Scranton women’s tennis team (7-6, 5-1 Landmark) won all six singles matches in an 8-1 victory over the Wilkes Colonels (3-7, 3-3 Landmark) on Tuesday at the Royal Courts in Scranton. Nowak notched a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Wilkes’ Tea Amerise at No. 1 singles for the 49th victory of her career, matching the program record that had been set by Emily Walsh in 2016.
