Stracke and Olmstead Sweep Conference Weekly Awards
HILLSBORO, Ore. — Pacific Lutheran University’s Ryan Stracke and Carson Olmstead swept the Northwest Conference Men’s Athlete of the Week awards as released by the conference office on Monday. Stracke, a senior from Puyallup, Wash. brought his cross country background onto the track, taking second at the Doris Heritage Invitational hosted by Seattle Pacific University last Friday. The long-distance runner was the top Division III finisher in the men’s 1500-meter race, beating out other Division II athletes in the process.
