Tehani Kong Named Pioneer of the Month – March 2024
Tehani Kong , from Cal State East Bay women's swimming, was named Pioneer of the Month for March 2024. She earned the monthly honor for the second time during her freshman season at Cal State East Bay. In the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships, Kong's most notable performance placed her eighth overall in the nation for the 100 yard butterfly. She was a First Team All-American by virtue of an eighth place finish in the 100 yard butterfly, setting a new Pioneer record of 54.33 seconds.
