5. Teagan Kavan, RHP, Texas 

Kavan has come in and formed a nice tandem with Citlaly Gutierrez in the Longhorns’ rotation which has Texas ranked in the top five in the country. The Longhorns currently sit at 31-6, with two of those wins recently coming against Oklahoma. On the year, Kavan has gone 11-2 in her 14 starts with a 1.85 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP. The 6-foot Iowa native has compiled 73 strikeouts and impressively strikes out 7.1 batters per seven innings. Kavan has put together five complete games in her freshman year with three shutouts, allowing just a .170 batting average to opponents. Kavan has the looks of a future star in the circle and will play a big role down the stretch as the Longhorns look to reach the Women’s College World Series.
