It’s no surprise to see another Oklahoma freshman budding into a star with the success the Sooners have had in recent years and Parker will likely be a key cog in their lineup for the next few seasons. Parker is hitting .404 this season with seven home runs, 35 RBIs, 37 runs and 12 stolen bases. The 5-foot-8 utility player also has a .509 on-base percentage and a .719 slugging percentage. The Sooners haven’t been quite as dominant as last season with three losses already and suffered recent back-to-back defeats at the hands of rival Texas. However, Oklahoma is still the favorite to win it all come June, and Parker’s continued emergence could go a long way to helping the Sooners four-peat.
