Acosta and Byrd Shine in Pfeiffer’s 11-7 Win at Ferrum

FERRUM, Va. –Senior C.J. Acosta racked up four RBIs to help propel the Pfeiffer Falcons past the Ferrum Panthers 11-7 in a nonconference baseball game on Wednesday evening. Fellow senior Jordan Byrd (1-0) got the win out of the bullpen for Pfeiffer (12-14). The right-hander went four innings, giving up one run without giving up a hit, allowing two walks and striking out three. The win is the first collegiate pitching win for Byrd.
