Bulldogs Start Fast but Fall to No. 13 Denver

The Bulldogs got out to a quick start before No. 13 Denver used a strong second period to eventually take a 20-5 win Wednesday afternoon in Indianapolis. Butler, behind a pair of goals from Luci Selander and a tally from Leah Rubino , held a 3-2 lead eight minutes into the contest. The visiting Pioneers would respond with the final two goals of the first period and outscored the Bulldogs, 9-0, in the second period to take control of the game.
