Lucy Olsen enters transfer portal: 5 landing spots for guard
VILLANOVA, Pa. (BVM) – One of the top-scoring women’s basketball players in the country is on the move. Junior guard Lucy Olsen entered the transfer portal Tuesday after three seasons with the Villanova Wildcats.

The 5’9 junior guard is the third leading scorer in the country with 23.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg and 3.8 apg.

The 5-foot-9 guard raised eyebrows this past season as she averaged 23.3 points, good for No. 3 in the nation behind only Iowa star Caitlin Clark and USC star Juju Watkins, as well as 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 35 games, all starts. While Olsen had success, her Wildcats’ team wasn’t as successful, missing out on the NCAA Tournament, though they’d make a run to the championship game of the inaugural Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament.
With an impressive scoring ability and extensive experience both in the regular season and NCAA Tournament (Villanova made it in 2022 and 2023), Olsen will have her choice of suitors in the transfer portal. With that in mind, here are five potential landing spots for the guard.
