Softball Falls to Lynchburg
LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph softball team hosted cross-city Lynchburg on Wednesday afternoon for an ODAC doubleheader. The Hornets won both games by scores of 6-0 and 5-1. In the first game, Randolph was held to three hits. Jenna McDermott (Townsend, Del./Middletown), Lexi Hawkins (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian), and Emily Morris (Esmont, Va./Monticello) all had one hit each with McDermott hitting a double in the sixth inning. Morris started in the circle for the WildCats. She went 6 1/3 innings allowing six runs on seven hits, walking three, and striking out two.
