Dre Davis enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
UConn Huskies
Dan Hurley has done an unbelievable job at UConn as the Huskies just became the first program to win back-to-back national championships since Florida did so in 2007. There will certainly be talk of a three-peat this offseason, but Hurley will need to retool the roster to put the Huskies in position for that. UConn has some young players on the team who could develop and a couple of talented commits coming in, but it will lose a ton of scoring and experience from this past season’s squad with Stephon Castle and Donovan Clingan expected to go to the NBA, and Tristen Newton and Cam Spencer out of eligibility. Davis could be a replacement for those departing players as another big-bodied guard who can score and be active on defense. Luke Murray, who recruited Davis while at Nebraska, is also part of Hurley’s current staff.
