Jax State Set To Host LA Tech For Weekend Series

JACKSONVILLE – Jax State softball completes a seven-game homestand this weekend, hosting Louisiana Tech for a trio of Conference USA contests beginning Friday evening. The Gamecocks (17-22, 6-6 CUSA) and Bulldogs (24-11, 7-5 CUSA) square off for the eighth all-time meeting. Jax State won the first six meetings of the series, before LA Tech won the most recent matchup at their home tournament in Ruston, La., in 2016. Meeting as league foes for the first time, the Jax State/La Tech series is the only CUSA pairing this weekend that features both teams at .500 or better in the conference standings....
