NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Longwood women's tennis team defeated Christopher Newport, 6-1, in non-conference action at James River Country Club on Thursday. The Lancers improved to 7-9 overall with their third straight victory while Christopher Newport, which is currently No. 22 in NCAA Division III ITA rankings, played the match as exhibition.
