Brunner Takes Home Third Place in River Hawk Multi and Invite Heptathlon
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – After two days of competition, junior Aurielle Brunner finished her second heptathlon with a total of 4,543 points (third place, personal best) at Doug Arthur Stadium. In her first event of the day, she finished second in the long jump at 5.36m (17-7). Her javelin throw was a new personal best, landing at 26.71 (87-7), which was good enough for sixth place. In the last event, Brunner won the 800-meter running a 2:24.66, a new personal record. Brunner’s total score currently ranks fifth in the nation. She will rejoin Chatham at Westminster on Saturday.
